GOAL? Is it really worth setting?

First of all, ignore the blog name/URL or don't. Because, I have created this blog to write some philosophy. philosophy about art of life, motivation, inspiration and lot more. But I've kept the name as "TiMEPASS", it is because I believe philosophy as time pass, I know it is contradictory, on one hand, I am saying I love philosophy and on the other hand I am calling it time pass. Well, when the right moments come I think I'll be able to explain this to you.

So, today we are going to talk about goals, is it really worth setting goals for next year or month or week or day? is it?

The idea of leaving with achievable goals is highly rated in our modern society. We live with goals from starting, like me, in 10th, I had goal of achieving 90+ percentage and get admission in well-know school, same in 12th to get admission in NIRMA University. This days however i leave without goals, it doesn't mean you stop doing anything and just sleep on your couch, watch TV, play candy crush or clash of clans, etc. You do something you are passionate about but not by tying it to any goal, but by being limitless.

We should commit to the process, not to goal. Let's take a simple example, what is the teacher's goal towards student is she/he gets high results but the process is to teach them well in class and watch their progress. Now if teacher only focuses on process of concentrating on the progress of their student, does it mean that fellow students won't get high result. No, right?

There is a common belief : "You will never reach anywhere, unless you know where you are going". This so make sense, but yet it is not true, consider this : in the cold morning , wearing your track suit, go on for jogging to blow off some steam. Go to any direction you want, take turns at random intervals, by the end of 30 mins or an hour you will reach somewhere, however it must not be desired place but its just you don't know you are going to end up there.

"The best goal is no goal", there is a zen monk philosophy of leaving without goals and achieving without goals. In a life with goals what you do is you set some goals you achieves some and you misses some, what it gives you is joy but with a bit of disappointment, dissatisfaction, sadness, etc. while in life without goals you only do things you are passionate about with no such deadlines.

But there is this, you have to open your mind to going to those places or doing such things you have never expected to do in your life span. Like in above example, if you live without goals, you could have invented new inventory, you have explored unexpected things. this is the beauty of this philosophy, but it is really difficult.

Though, my life is not a example of leaving a life without goal, but this philosophy gives me goosebumps. But I am trying to lead my life without goals and finding my passion.
